Louise Ratner is 31, Justin Ratner is 27, Ellie Ratner is 11, Lyle Ratner is 4, William Ratner is 4, Rose Ratner is 3, Tyler Ratner is 3, and Curtis Ratner is 2
(Charles Walters, Tobias O’Hara, Olive O’Hara, Frank Gibson)
Last time, Louise’s wish for a baby came true…times 5, two sets of twins plus a little single boy. The family is still dirt poor after taking out a loan for a bigger home in the first round.
There is way too much going on here for a family portrait. It’s chaos! We find Louise at home with food poisoning, which probably came from the Hopson family party. She was there, but never made it in camera view.
She finishes making and then consuming her soup, making sure to put the leftovers in her inventory for emergency purposes.
The baby of the family, Curtis, finally gets to learn his skills.
Justin is at work, which with the changing of the rules, he will quit when he gets home. There is an opening in Law Enforcement for him and Louise decides that a life of Crime is good for her.
It’s toddler bathing day! Did you know that it takes 12 hours to round up and bathe five toddlers? Now you do.
Bath time ends and we realize that we have two less toddlers! William is up top and Lyle is under.
Daddy gets Curtis to walk late that night.
Ellie aged up first that night, but needed a makeover badly. I am not too fond of her makeup. It might be because you cannot get close up and I’m blind as a bat on top of that.
We found Ellie’s missing homework that was keeping her from an A+. This place is a madhouse. Did I mention that?
Justin: Dear God, it’s burnt and looks disgusting!
Louise: It’s her first meal, just eat it and tell her it was wonderful!
Louise: Omg. It’s disgusting.
Justin: ‘Just eat it and tell her it’s wonderful.’ Wasn’t that what you just said?
Louise: Shut up.
Charles was walking by and greeted his replacement. I wouldn’t be smiling if I were you. This town has a liking for mailpeople.
It took 2.5 rounds and 17 updates to get our first treasure chest. Justin tried to kiss it and hug it, but I made him sell it so that Louise could make a loan payment.
Louise might be enjoying her life of crime, but the old saying that Crime doesn’t pay is proving to be true. Every little bit helps, but only $130? Ugh.
With Justin and Louise on opposite schedules, Ellie steps up to help her mom out. The boys learn to study pretty quickly. I seem to have not gotten the next birthdays documented. Oops.
Ellie wanted to flirt with someone and then get her first kiss. Good thing Clarke was walking by right before the bus showed up. She conned him into a date, which was short and sweet and then ran to get to school. That night she thought she was helping the family out, so she snuck onto the computer and took out a loan for $100,000. She paid off her mom’s loan first.
Then bought a pet store. Louise was not happy about being roped into helping out, but she couldn’t just let Ellie stay there by herself.
Ellie: Hi, Mr. Reviewer! I would like totally love to have a good review and like have an award too!
I cannot believe Ellie got an award at rank 3, but poor Ellen is still waiting for one!
Rank 5. Ellie has her gold sales badge and bronze restocking. Louise has barely managed her bronze register and bronze restocking badges. Olive and Tobias pillow fight, kiss and make out in this confined space and block the register. It’s really annoying.
They head home and have a late dinner together. Ellie promises to sell the business the next morning.
Rose (sitting) and Tyler soon learn to study. I really need to get their pictures taken!
The couple, married for over 10 years now, have nothing in common anymore. With one asleep and one working and not spending time together has put a strain on the relationship. They barely even talk when passing each other in the hallways.
Curtis has his birthday and I swear it looks like he dug through the trash to find clothes. Poor thing. Clay (the unseen dog) has aged up to elder.
These kids are maniacs. I get social worker threats all day long because the little heathens keep getting overheated jumping on beds. When they are not jumping, they are playing cops and robbers in the bathroom so no one can use it.
The night before the round ends, Louise, Justin and Ellie spend it digging. They made some money, but it was not enough to even feed the family.
I finally found a way to get the kids to sit still.
Louise: Did you ever sell that business, El?
Ellie: I forgot, mom. I will do it after breakfast.
Ellie sold the business for $55,000. She paid off her loan and deposited the rest in her bank account. Leaving the family with $3,800 and not enough for taxes.
Some last minute updates. Rose got her makeover.
Tyler got his.
And finally, Curtis got his.
Taxes: $4,000, leaving the family with $532.
- I will not have them start another business until all the kids become teens. That was a bit hectic.
- There are still to jobs open. One is in Architecture and one is for Tobias in Business (politics is now locked until the population reaches 1,000).
- Poor Clay got old on me. I figured he could get a job in security, but now he is too old.
- I am really sad that Justin and Louise do not seem to have anything to do with each other anymore. They each of Monday night off, so that will probably be their date night. Luckily, they do have a Monday in their next round, but not another one until round 6.
