Previous Update/Next Update
Last time, there were lots and lots of birthdays. Ellie bought a pet shop, but it proved to be too much for the new teen and she sold it. Louise and Justin never found time to be together and it looked like things might be going bad.
Justin waited for Louise to head to work and then got dinner for the kids and took off for the night.
Justin: I’m heading out, you’re in charge for the night.
Ellie: Okay, dad.
Donald: So, the family really has no idea what you are doing?
Justin: No, not a clue. Am I ready for a good review?
Donald: Not even close. I’ll come by some other time.
Tyler (new CAS sim from the Hollie Household): This place rocks!
Justin: So, you’re buying?
Tyler: Not a chance. I just moved in and I’m broke.
Justin: Oh, c’mon Doreen. I just opened!
Doreen: You suck at selling dude. Just sayin’
Justin started to worry that quitting his job and doing something selfish was going to backfire. It was time for his ace in the hole.
Justin: How soon can you get here?
Ellie: Let me put the kids to bed and call the nanny, dad. I’ll be down before you know it.
Justin: Ellie! I need you to help, not play!
Ellie: Hey, I am trying to get in the mood. I just need to finish my date with Michael first.
Michael fell in love first.
Then Ellie did. She also wanted to go steady with someone and Michael is a much better choice than that shaggy haired guy from last season.
Ellie: Welcome to the Shademoor National Bank, where if you don’t invest, I don’t eat!
Ashlee (another CAS sim from the Hollie household): I cannot let you starve! I’ll take all of it.
Ellie: *gasp* Really?
Ashlee: Hahaha. No.
Speaking of shaggy haired teen, he buys, so he can come anytime. Also, I have never had a sim with a lampshade before. Say hi to Asparagus everyone.
Dominic Hollie is also a non-buyer. He and the three other men in that house just show up to chat with Justin. They leave the buying for Ashlee to do.
The last member is Joseph. Also, Justin informed me the hardway that there is no bathroom. He will now cry because he peed himself for the rest of the time here.
Justin: Only because I peed myself 20 times.
Not my fault you can’t afford a damned toilet.
I was trying to give Ellie a break and let her restock, but the business actually lost complete ranks when Justin tried to sell.
You better not be spending the community fund, buster!
Tobias: Not a chance, sister. I need 50 signatures to just look at all that money in there.
Michael shows up and Ellie nabs him for a quick date.
Despite the issues with Justin selling at the beginning, the bank is a decent success. In only three days Justin has paid $180,000 of his $200,000 loan and reach rank 5.
The rank 5 money perk finished off the loan.
Just in time for Fern to cause a distraction while Ellie has another date with Michael, I think.
It only took four days for Justin to earn his $100,000 and get permaplat.
Ellie: Who earned his money?
Sorry, doll. You got your dad is LTW.
They leave the bank and head home, they are not rich, but at least they have more than the $500 the season started off with.
Back home, Ellie and Rose play chess while waiting for Justin to go to bed and her mom to get home from work.
Her mom showed up at 1:00 a.m., but immediately went to sleep leaving a clear path for Ellie to sneak out with Michael.
Glitch: By 8:00 a.m., Ellie still wasn’t home. I had to load up a lot, teleport her in, move her in and head back to her house and repeat.
Ellie is found and she is mostly only teaching Clay so that someone pays attention to him. He doesn’t learn anything though.
Justin talks his way into the music business and even got a promotion on his first day. His second LTW is to be a Rock God.
Rose was very excited to see her daddy. Justin has the day off, so no dual promotion for him.
The two itty bitty bedrooms for all the kids were deleted. A complete second floor with three bedrooms, skill items and three bathrooms were built.
Ellie: You know, dad, you can slow down and eat like a regular person.
Justin: Starving *nom nom nom nom*
William: So, why are we eating at the table like real people? Did we run out of cookies and chips?
Ellie: Nah, it’s a very special occasion.
Rose: Really? What occasion?
Ellie: My escape! I am so out of here in like five minutes.
Curtis: You can’t leave! How will I learn to study?
Ellie: I’m sure mom or dad will do it.
Rose: But who will take care of me? I’ve been sick all week.
William: *cough* *cough* Thanks, Rose. My day is all better now that I have your flu.
Ellie: Mom keeps the soup in her pocket. Just ask when she gets up.
And just like that, Ellie Ratner becomes the first one to go to University.
I am thinking anyone with a knowledge primary/secondary or fortune, will automatically go to University. Ellie had the want locked in since she turned teen and she has a bank account with almost $30,000 for tuition and other stuff. She somehow pulled off four scholarships too.
While everyone was eating with Ellie and saying goodbye, Lyle was upstairs asleep. So that means we watch him paint until it’s time for school.
To celebrate one less sim in the house, Louise and Justin were in the same room long enough for to try for another baby. The next morning she woke up and miscarried. I have unlocked her wants for a baby and 10 babies. With her fourth miscarriage in four rounds, she is officially not allowed any more.
True to her word, Ellie made Justin promise to teach Curtis to study.
William tends to not ever have his fun maxed, so Justin took care of that next.
I apparently forgot to have the kids jump rope after learning to study last season. I still have to get Lyle and Tyler to start the books next time.
Louise got over her depression long enough to chat with William. Justin wants to gain creativity level 9.
Louise was horrified to hear that Rose was sick. The soup cured her, but they immediately got a pop up that she was sick. This happened twice, so I guess I’ll just have to keep her on bed rest until she is better.
Tyler has a water balloon fight with one of the Bryan girls before she runs off home.
Lyle ages up to teen. It will be the next day before I realize that William has disappeared from the house. Lyle wants to go to college and get a scholarship.
Louise enjoys the new stereo I got so the kids could dance.
Everyone studies something. Justin and a mechanical book, Lyle and his physiology book and Rose with a cookbook. Tyler and Louise are having leftovers and a newly found William is eating soup that cures him but get him sick immediately afterward.
William already wants to go to college and get a scholarship just like his twin, so those were locked in.
It’s Justin’s day off and the last day of the season. They both need a bath, but Clay was lucky and got his first
Taxes: $11,100. I used the wrong spreadsheet, so they actually paid 5% of their worth instead of $1,000 per sim, a difference of about $4,000.
SM multiplier advance to 9. Population is 576, unlocking another education spot, which will be saved for Ellie.
- Second household in a row with glitches! I just used the hood checker, but most of it was related to Paul Russell, a former NPC mailman. There was only one memory I could not clean up in SimPe, but I was able to with the batbox.
- I can’t believe Ellie is off to college. Do I count that as a new household? I would say so since she will move back to town, but not her parents’ house.
- Cross your fingers for a glitchless visit with the Bryan’s.
