As a recap, Fern Fayers is the romance goddess who sleeps with anyone who can walk or crawl into her bed. Her only child is Terrence, the product of a one-off with Donald the Reviewer. Sadly her father, Russell Fayers, died in childbirth. This left her to raise her baby sister Faith (both fathers are deceased) and two little brothers Edmund and Randy (abandoned by their living father, Clarence Martin). Fern was born a plantsim, but chose to become human when she became an adult. She has four plantsim siblings also.
We load up the household and find Terrence and Faith just hanging out. I had them walk to school.
Edmund has the red hair and Randy has the dark skin. I made their identification pages and linked them above, but sort of forgot to fill them in.
Fern is not all that motherly, but she was able to teach both boys to walk.
Then potty before they aged up.
While I was distracted with potty training, Faith grew up. She is yet another popularity/pleasure match up. I think I might just do random dice rolls instead of going by personality.
Fern shows Faith how to parent. I think only one boy actually learned his rhyme though.
Edmund aged up first and promptly peed himself.
Russell haunted Nanny Dianna and literally scared the piss out of her. I’m just glad she survived.
Randy aged up a few hours later when he woke up from his nap.
Nanny Dianna was more than happy to make dinner for the kids. God knew, Fern didn’t even know where the stove was.
Fern, in the meantime, needed a break from the kids. She noted that it had been almost four years since she had been with a man and decided to get that itch taken care of right then and there.
Yvette: She isn’t really going to do that in public is she?
Why yes, yes she is. Oh and good job, Fern. Let’s have another love notch on your belt. Should I also remind you all that she is not eligible for birth control?
Ashlee, Dominic, Frank and Yvette are just standing around waiting for Fern to be done. Only Yvette is too interested in the scene to turn her back like everyone else.
Yvette: Of course not! This is better than Health class!
*scratches head* Catherine, when did Tobias knock you up?
Catherine Lewis: *shrug*
Of course, Justin had to show up! Fern had decided to stay on to get her rank 10 back. The long absence from the lot had caused it to go down to rank 9.
Justin: I will give you all the stars if we can keep doing this forever.
Fern: Um, no. I got to get home to the kids soon.
Fern and Catherine became the best of friends at Hot Tub Heaven. Yes, she did take a break from the men to have platonic friend making. When Fern found out that Catherine was homeless and pregnant, she offered her a place to stay until the baby was born.
*Catherine Lewis works for Ellen Walters at the auto dealership as the manager. I am not sure what setting I changed to allow NPC’s to get knocked up. Oops!*
Catherine was still surprised when she got her bumps. Fern convinced her to put all of her move in money in the bank, so she was actively looking for a house for her and the upcoming infant.
Michael Hopson walked by and Faith decided to greet him. They don’t really get along, so he chatted with Catherine for a bit and then with Sophia when she showed up.
Fern took off for work and then slept the day away. She left a note for Faith to take care of her brothers.
Although not happy about her duties, she did get both boys to study and then fed them.
Faith: Can you please keep it down, Cathy. I’m so tired and your screams are deafening.
*some dumbass hit random instead of original amount of kids* Catherine welcomes a mixed set of twins, Hans and Regina. Catherine was pretty hungry and tired, so she was thoroughly happy that Nanny Dianna had not left for the day.
Catherine knew the babies would cause some problems with Faith and the boys, so she cooked up a delicious dinner of trout (or whatever) as a parting gift and thank you to the family for taking her in for the pasty seven months.
Just as everyone was taking their first bite, Fern’s screams sounded throughout the house. Faith went running and was horrified to find Fern in labor.
Faith: You bitch! No wonder you have been in seclusion for so long!
Thankfully there was only one baby, a girl named Angela. Only the boys seemed excited for the new baby.
Fern: Tobias! What are you doing here?
Tobias: I heard some skank claimed to be having my kid and I came to check it out.
Fern: Well, it’s no rumor. You are the father of twins, but she already moved out. Now, I am trying to get ready for work, so please get out of here.
Faith was left alone with the kids again. Fern didn’t even show up for Angela’s birthday.
Fern strolled in later that night after getting a promotion to level 8. She kept trying to get Tobias’ attention, but I did not spend half a round getting Tobias and Olive back together for Fern to ruin it, so I had her read couples counseling.
In fact, I had them all reading and maxing their body skill that Saturday.
Edmund: Faith! No you can’t leave us alone with her!
Faith: I’ve had all I can stand. I’m leaving, even if I am only taking my underwear.
Will Fern be able to handle raising four kids for the next 8-13 years? Stay tuned!
Poor Faith. She was an A+ student and ended up with a score of 88 with 4 scholarships, so I let her leave for University a day early. I never realized that Fern was pregnant and by the time I did, it was too late to put a stop to it. The father is Justin, by the way.
Taxes paid: $18,000.
College tuition paid: $0. Faith earned a full ride.
