I just switched from Windows Live Writer to the new (and supported) Open Live Writer. I hope it doesn’t freeze up and act shitty like the Windows version.
With so many adults in the house, I was expecting the inventories to explode. I was right in my thinking.
All the witches are missing their thrones, so it was time to make more. Joey got right on that.
Jessie is the closest to completing her LTW. Everyone else is just biding their time.
Unless your the victim of an ROS roll. Poor Jacey is now stuck here for the whole week.
Challenge: 2 Suffering for your Art: one sim becomes CONSUMED by painting/artistry and its all they can do or think about. Shut one sim up in a room (remove the door) of their house with easels (and the pottery wheel if you have one), a mirror, a bowl of fruit, a sink & the most expensive couch you can buy as an art studio. Direct them to paint/sculpt at all times, ignoring their needs but not x-ing anything from their queue. You may place plates of food in the room with the hand tool, but they cannot be removed.
I’m not sure why she needs a bowl of fruit, so I sort of ignored that. She did get her sink and mirror though.
I said to heck with the expensive couch for the first half of the week and let her have her throne.
Jacey is the least artistic of them all, so at least she can at least level up during her suffering.
Everybody else is kept busy and have not noticed that Jacey is missing.
Frank teaches Lewis to study and I have noticed that Eric is now a neutral witch. With 0 nice points, he is now going the evil route (in a corner on the other side of that bookcase). Jessie is just skilling random stuff.
Lewis finally gets a decent makeover and is adorable.
A quick check with Jacey.
hmm…apparently Eric is not on the other side of the bookcase. How dare he escape my clutches! In other news, Joey is sick and our only family sim is locked upstairs painting. *facepalm*
I was bored so now everyone got makeovers.
Big sister Jackie stops by for a visit.
Joey wants to max 7 skills, so he sits on his throne reading constantly. Someday soon, he will be forced to get a job though.
Lewis was transferred to private school for being rich. He also brought home one of the Bryan boys.
I got their friendship started and I hope it lasts.
Jacey: Why does she get to be outside having fun?
Poor thing. She is just miserable. She has also missed several days of work (education) and is about to be fired.
I took her throne away and now she is actually having to fend for herself.
Jessie is gay (if you recall) and I love Ebony, but they have negative chemistry. We got rid of her soon after.
In an effort to start finding spouses, Jessie runs off to their club.
It’s been forever since they were here, so she did get them back up to Rank 10 and grabbed a bronze sales badge.
Jessie has two bolts with Toni Ward though.
They were friends already (thank God), so a quick date got them to kissing real fast.
They may have found a couple of ways to make the date interesting.
Joey, who has no interest in marriage or anything else for that matter, decides to summon the aliens.
Jessie: I really think we should buy a restaurant, dad.
Frank: You’re already permaplat, why bother?
Jessie: The town surely can do with more. Think of it as helping someone else out there who wants to be a chef like me.
In other news, the military got wind that the aliens were abducting sims and came to interfere.
Joey arrived safely back, but both the chopper and the spaceship limped away from this encounter. They both had a lot of repairs to deal with.
Larsen: I’m married, don’t bother talking to me.
Things are going downhill for Jacey. She is not at all impressed with the couch.
Lewis as all about the coloring. The goal is to get the last skill point of creativity before his birthday.
Skilling and skilling and skilling.
I have silent pregnancies now, so this was a surprise.
I don’t think Eric is ever going to top a career at this rate.
Jacey is barely alive at this point. What a horrible roll. I hope it never shows up again.
Lewis has a birthday tonight, so back to the activity table for him. Jessie scopes every girl that passes with no luck.
Lewis drew until he needed a nap and then came back to finish up his creativity.
Just in time too.
Frank did indeed buy a restaurant. He, Joey, Jacey (who is free since it is the last day of Fall) and Jessie all head over to check it out.
Everyone chooses the cheesecake…Does restaurant cheesecake do the twin perk? If so, this is coming off the menu. Fast.
Jessie is the hostess, Frank is the chef, Joey and Jacey are the servers. It’s working fairly well for now.
With two witches and two permaplats, this place can run forever.
This seems to be going good. There are a couple of sims that come to cause trouble, so Jessie has to get rid of them fast.
Another culinary spot opens, but Jessie refuses to leave until they hit Rank 10.
Jessie takes a turn as the server while her siblings come back from the brink of death.
So they all still eat cheesecake, but luckily no one here is pregnant.
Oops. I forgot about Frank slaving as the chef.
I go ahead and have them shut down for 24 hours so that Jacey can come out of aspiration failure and everyone else can do some skilling.
Things are not going so well. It has been raining for months without end. One of the fighters keeps coming back and starting trouble.
Jessie has three bolts with Lavender. Too bad Lav is a romance sim.
I think it was Stephan Benson (checked shirt, foreground) that gave us the last star.
They don’t leave just yet. Frank has no interest in businesses anymore and passes along all the perks to Jessie while Joey maxes his skills and Jacey reads all the other books (couples counseling, etc.) before reading some skill books.
Soon after, Joey gets a robot station and Jacey finds something even better to do.
Jacey: It’s about time I get to be an evil witch!
Jacey then gets another makeover since I just grabbed a buttload of clothing while I was sick and then they all head home.
Not a bad season, but mostly because everyone was low maintenance due to energizer/throne use. Just before leaving the lot, Jacey and Jessie quit their jobs and went into business. They both hired in at level 8.
Business: Gibson Bar and Grill (really just a club) Rank 10
Perch (restaurant) Rank 10
Playable sims: 98
Sim multiplier: 51
This is how long it took to pass on perks after Joey maxed three skills. He made 10 servos and I put out the one Jessie bought in the offseason.
No population changes yet. Joey will have to spend a few weeks pregnant until we come back for Winter.
